Sewer Maintenance
Sewer line cleaning, repair, and inspections are some of the larger projects that we take on at Hydro Jet Plumbing Houston. We have the professional plumbing experience to know and understand when your home or commercial property is faced with a serious sewer problem, and our plumbers have all the necessary tools in order to conduct an effective sewer inspection and cleaning. Whether you are buying a new home and need to determine the condition of your sewer system or are looking to determine the health of your current system with a preventative maintenance check, Hydro Jet Plumbing uses the newest pipeline video inspection tools to ensure that nothing slips past us.
Common sewer problems that occur within a residence include backups and blockages caused by misuse. Instances of misuse may include grease, paper products and other objects that have been flushed into the sewer line. Tree root intrusion is also a common problem in which the roots of a tree enter through a joint or failed pipe. A clogged tub or sink drain most often does not mean that your main sewer lateral is blocked; these drains can be serviced individually. If you are experiencing foul odors in your home, most commonly it is only a drain trap that has evaporated the water seal. Pouring a gallon of water down the drain usually fixes this problem. There are many other minor drain and sewer problems that can occur in your home which may be extremely easy to fix, but there also may be some that are not.
Sewer Video Inspection
In order to perform a proper sewer inspection, it is extremely important to use the most modern, state of the art tools, and with these tools an even more important video inspection can take place. During a video inspection, a camera is inserted into the interior of the sewer pipe and sends back live video feed of the condition and blockage in your sewer line. The cameras and inspection tools we use are built to take a beating but maintain perfect clarity and can transmit pictures useful in observing extremely small details. Our video inspection equipment is also equipped with locaters to determine the location and depth of the sewer line damage from above ground. This allows for spot repairs if possible. Video inspections can tell many things including if you have root intrusion, separated pipes, offset pipe joints, or a broken pipe. This non-destructive method of assessing root and other damage allows us to find the exact location of the problem and fix it efficiently and with minimal digging.
